WHEW!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. We had a nice day. We got some fun things and were able to spend the evening with family. It was such a busy week leading up to Christmas that today I feel like I was hit by a truck! In the end, all the important things were done.

We had Brett's mom, Trent, Derek and Cindy and their kids (Maddy, Lauren and Grant) over for Christmas dinner. We made mexican food instead of the traditional turkey or ham. I really enjoyed the smaller, low-key evening. I felt like we were able to really enjoy each other's company.

We will be heading out for Utah on Friday to arrive there on Saturday. We are looking forward to spending a few days in the snow.

I will post some pictures of our day soon (after I am a little more recovered physically.)

My Candy Making Day

For the last few years I have gotten together with my very good friend, Janette Jones, from Huntington Beach to make candy for Christmas. Yesterday was our annual get together. We work the whole day to get it done but we have a great time the whole day. We are getting better and better at it. This year we actually had time at the end to play a board game after we were done. THANK YOU Janette for sticking with me year after year.

The things we made this year were: Chocolate dipped Chick-O-Sticks, English Toffee, Peanut Brittle, Caramel and Chocolate dipped Pretzels, Swedish Nuts, Chocolate Dipped coconut cookies, peanut clusters, chocolate lollipops (Callie and Jim, Janette's husband, did most of them), and chocolate dipped caramel and coconut pieces.

Culprit has been nabbed!!!

As it turns out, Brett was "having a little fun" with me. He is the one that posted all those crazy messages under a variety of names. I think I will leave the blog as is. (I wonder if there is a way to block specific users. Hmmmm)

Hannah's visit to Santa

I took Hannah to visit Santa while we were at Disneyland today. As with most any three-year-old, she was happy about the idea until she got to the front of the line. It took a little bit of coaxing but she finally decided that she was willing to tell Santa that she really wants Princess roller skates.

Callie's Choir Performed at Disneyland

Callie's choir director submitted an audition tape of their choir to Disneyland. They were accepted to come sing on the Carnation Stage near the castle. They went today and I took Hannah with me to watch her sing at the happiest place on earth.

Chocolate Lollipops

This year I am going to try my hand at making chocolate lollipops as one of my Christmas candies. I gave it a first try on Saturday. These are the two designs that I made. I think they turned out cute. It was actually quite fun to paint them.
