This is the latest wedding cake I have done. The wedding open house was Saturday. The bottom tier was chocolate sour cream cake with a cream cheese filling, the middle layer was an Italian cream wedding cake (with coconut and pecans in it) with a bavarian cream filling, and the top was a lemon buttermilk cake with a lemon filling.

Success!
Thanks to all who gave me advice on the ink stains. My good friend, Tammie Hathcock, (yes, you get her full name so she can have all the credit) told me to try Pine Sol. Of all things, I would never have thought of that. She said she looked on the internet and found that suggestion. I went to work with a toothbrush and a fair amount of elbow grease. I got most of the stains out. The only ones that didn't come out completely were the ones that were really dark and soaked in to begin with. Even those were faded well enough that they aren't super noticable, other than on the pants that originally contained the pen. I think we can all agree that that person deserves to have blue polka dotted jeans. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Caught Red-Handed
I am sure glad I planted tomatoes this year. If I hadn't this poor little squirrel and his buddy that also lives in our yard would go hungry. AAAAARGH! I see them run around chasing and playing with each other often. They have made themselves a home in the logs that I have stacked in the back yard. We are planning to make garden boxes with them for next planting season. I bet these critters can hardly wait! (No I'm not making a box out of a squirrel, though I'm considering a purse with a matching hat.)
I happened past the window a few nights ago and finally caught one of them red-handed enjoying the fruit of my labor. I have resorted to going out and picking off all the tomatoes as they begin to turn a little orange. They then ripen safely inside on the counter.

Soccer Season is ON!
Ethan had is first soccer game of the season this past Saturday. He really enjoys playing the game. He played goalie for the second half of the game (he wasn't too happy about that.) He says it's too boring to be goalie. Most of the "action" was happening on the other end of the field. Needless to say, Ethan's team won the game. WOOHOO!!

GRRRRRR!
I was NOT pleased today to go to the dryer to retrieve the load of jeans. I opened the door and saw an ink pen sitting at the front of the dryer--empty.
As you can imagine, a certain someone left the pen in his (or her), but really, his jeans. Every pair of jeans in the dryer was decorated with varying sizes of bright blue ink splotches. Of course all of you who are acquainted with dryer heat combined with a stain understand the frustration that I now feeling.
If anyone has a great suggestion, I would love to hear it. I tried dabbing at it with rubbing alcohol but it didn't do a lot of good. I have a feeling that the dryer set the stains in good and solid!
